Description
Training and match use
This ball suits club training sessions, school sports programmes, and full match play alike. Because the construction is built to the same heavyweight spec as competition-grade balls, teams training with it get a true sense of ball weight and sound behaviour, rather than adapting to a lighter training ball and recalibrating for matches.
Clubs running junior or beginner sessions may prefer a softer foam ball instead. This one is built for full-weight, full-pace play.

How the sound design works
The three metal bells sit loose inside the rubber shell, ringing freely as the ball rolls or is thrown. The eight holes aren’t just structural, they’re acoustic, letting the bell sound escape clearly rather than being muffled by the rubber casing. Get the hole pattern or bell weight wrong and the ball either rings too quietly to track at pace, or the bells rattle inconsistently. This ball’s construction is built around solving that specific problem.
FAQ
Is this the same weight ball used in competition play?
Yes. At 1.25kg with the same diameter, bell count, and hole pattern, this ball is built to the same regulation spec as the ball used at international level.
Can this ball be used for other sports?
No. It’s built for hand-thrown goalball play only and isn’t suitable for football, cricket, or any game using a bat or hard strike.
Is there a lighter option for younger or beginner players?
Yes — softer, lighter foam goalballs are available and better suited to junior or informal sessions. Contact us for recommendations.
What’s the difference between this and the Goalfix Stryker96 or Flyte sound footballs?
This ball is built specifically for goalball. The Stryker96 and Flyte are sound footballs designed for blind football (B1), a different sport with different ball-handling demands.
